Materials: Bring your own flowers or foliage, lace, or other items you want to incorporate into your mug. Bring an old rag.
Give your morning ritual a woodland feel. Nature elements make beautiful artwork. Collect your favorite wildflower or blades of grass and bring them with you. Handcrafted from stoneware, the unique design starts as a flat piece of clay, pressed flowers and texture, and then folded to create an organic mug.
This workshop is approximately 2 hours, depending on your design, and speed of work. At the end of class, you'll have a one-on-one glaze consultation with your instructor. After work dries to a leather hard stage, it is fired twice in our on-site kiln, and will be ready for pick up in approximately 2 weeks from your class date. There is nothing like pottery to teach you patience!
Registration is by Email Only (amazingartshub@icloud.com) Please send an email with your phone number and we will contact you to complete registration. Registration requires a payment to complete. The Arts Center phone lines are in/out. Often we can call out, but incoming calls wont ring on our end, and often dropped for the caller. We are working on a solution.
Registration deadline: April 20, 2022. Class limits 6 students.
Location: 1 Park Street, Elkins, WV. Tan/Cream house. Red Sign says One Park Studios. Parking is free in front of Elkins city park. Please do not park in Broughton Sports parking lot.
