Have you always wanted to try out the potter's wheel? Have you tried it a few times in the past but are rusty or want to learn more? Then this is the class for you, pick up an exciting new hobby in the new year! Learn the basic skills required to use the wheel: Centering, throwing, shaping, trimming, and basic surface decoration/glazing techniques. This class is best for students with zero to some basic experience on the potter's wheel. Class will meet weekly on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 pm for 6 weeks with a brief 15-30 minute meeting on week 7 to pick up finished work.

*Due to the small space in the pottery studio Instructor and students will wear masks for the safety and comfort of everyone.

The art center includes the use of our tools, equipment and provides clay/glaze for the general class. All students are required to help with cleaning the studio. It should look better than when you arrived!

Hot Tips: Bring an old towel with you. Feel free to bring your own apron. Pottery is best for trimmed nails, old clothes, and no jewelry. Stay home if you are sick, run down, or unwell. Please read our health and wellness policy. Policies
