Clara Riedlinger is a singer and fiddler based in Rochester, NY. Olivia Perske is a singer and guitarist/bassist based in Elkins, WV. According to family legend, they both sang before they talked and danced before they walked! 

Clara and Olivia grew up singing in church choir, and share a love of community song and layered harmonies. Meeting in a workshop at the Augusta Heritage Center, they discovered a “sister harmony”; the duo Clara + Olivia was instant. Olivia’s warm timbre and Clara’s bright timbre meld into a centuries-old sound. 

Clara + Olivia specialize in story songs and ballads sung in the old style, bringing a unique blend of tradition and presence. Their singing brings audiences in, eliciting an array of human emotions, transporting them to a world outside of time and place.
