This is a 6 week class, with a scheduled day for pick up with the instructors on Day 7
Traditional hand and wheel class; this class teaches hand building and wheel throwing. What is the difference?
Wheel: Participants will be taught how to wedge clay, center on the pottery wheel and learn basic wheel throwing. Each participant will spend time on the wheel with hands on instruction.
Hand built ceramics offer a wide arrangement of techniques, that may include slab construction, coil method, drape mold construction, tile slab, amongst others.
In this class you will experience both! Designed for beginners or those continuing their beginner skills. The art center includes the use of our tools, equipment and provides clay/glaze for the general class. All students are required to help with cleaning the studio. It should look better than when you arrived!
Please wear a mask.
Hot Tips: Bring an old towel with you. Feel free to bring your own apron. Pottery is best for trimmed nails, old clothes, and no jewelry. Stay home if you are sick, run down, or unwell. Please read our health and wellness policy. Policies
