Sophia Gillispie is a local artist who grew up in Elkins, West
Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Marshall
University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Art
Therapy. She enjoys exploring creativity through painting, ceramics,
and experimenting with different art materials. Her work often draws
inspiration from nature, animals, and the world around her. She
believes art is a wonderful way for children to express themselves,
build confidence, and explore their imaginations. Through teaching,
she hopes to inspire young artists to try new techniques, embrace
their creativity, and discover the joy of making art!
