Opening Reception Friday, August 7th from 5-7pm.
A Days End Daydream is a collective gallery between Natasha Evans and Wilhelmina McWhorter where these two artists explore the never-ending possibilities of what their dreams hold.
As a society it could be said that hardships and information overload has led our brains and souls to slow or halt. This exploration of art and dreams is an offering of levity and curiosity. It is also an invitation to dream alongside us and see the world through a different set of eyes. How do you view the world? Is your glass half empty or half full? Is your brief candle burning large and hot, or flickering and soft? Through what color lens do you see? The world is only what we perceive, therefore we have only what we see to understand what we know. It may never be quite as it seems, so we ask you to walk through this gallery and welcome your own daydreams into reality. As you do, think to yourself, “There are known knowns. There are known unknowns. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know.” - Donald Rumford
Thank you to the Arts Center, our families and loved ones, and all of you curious art lovers for indulging in the tender pause we paint on canvas.
