After School Art Instructor
2025-2026 School Year

ASA Instructor Description:
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic artist to instruct our After School Art Program. This program supplements the school experience, by providing quality arts education. You design the classroom projects-pottery, painting, mixed media, as you see fit for the program.

Responsibilities:
-
Engage with students to provide assistance and guidance with their art projects
-Classroom encouragement with students, from set up, and cleanup
-Design, organization and structure art projects for a classroom setting
-Classroom management with positive reinforcement
-Collaborate with the Arts Center to ensure a safe, positive, and enriching experience for all students

Requirements:
-passion for the arts and working with children
-
Adhere to the Arts Centers Child Protection Policy and obtain clearances. The Arts Center will assist you in obtaining these clearances if needed.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and fellow staff members
-Reliability, consistency and punctuality is a must
-Background and knowledge in the arts, and experience with students/families is required

Schedule: This is a project based position for the upcoming school year. The ASA program runs from September through May, and meets1 day, approximately 2 hours a week.
Pay: contracted position, W9 required
