Jennifer Boyle is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in pottery, hand-building, and fused glass. She teaches hand-building and fused glass at The Arts Center and is the owner of Appalachian Glass, where she creates and shares her work. With a lifelong background in pottery and a more recent passion for glass fusing, Jennifer brings both creativity and technical expertise to her artistic practice. Her previous experience as a chemist at Davis & Elkins College provides an exceptional foundation for understanding the science behind ceramic materials and glaze chemistry. Drawing on this knowledge, she develops and creates her own glazes, combining scientific precision with artistic expression. Through her teaching, she enjoys helping students explore new techniques, develop their skills, and discover the endless possibilities.
