Jeff’s art career began in the early 80s in the Asheville area of western NC. With strong scenic surroundings and abundant wildlife there was no shortage of subject matter. His early works were in acrylic, exhibiting primarily in the Asheville area. He then ventured into screen printing as well as painting. Screen printing took over for years, as he employed his talents in the CD/DVD industry, eventually bringing him to WV.

After moving to West Virginia in 2009 his oil painting took off painting mostly local subject matter, including landscapes, wildlife, portraits, and botany. He has honed his style and enjoys photography as well, collecting reference material with his daughter and cohort Sarah who has joined him on many adventures and works with him on the computer graphics end of things helping with reference image refinement and website building.

Jeff is currently exhibiting in West Virginia as well as other areas in the southeast.

Jeff’s upcoming exhibition, “My Backyard” will be displaying in the Maxwell Gallery from September 30th - November 19th, 2025.
