An original acoustic experience

Married couple, Stephanie and Leskie Tompkins of Elkins, WV, have been writing their special brand of music together since they met in 2001, while Stephi was attending D&E College. Local to the area and sharing a love for the outdoors and it's enchantments, their passion for music grew.  

Their shared musical tastes, spanning folk, rock, world music and even heavy metal, not only reflect in their collection of record albums, but in their ever growing catalog of original songs. While evolving musically, eventually forming a full 5 piece band, the singer/songwriters added their own arrangements of many standards and covers to compliment their unique Wish Awake sound.

The band is now back to their roots performing as an acoustic duo, Leskie on guitar and vocals and Stephi on vocals and hand percussion. Blending a variety of musical styles while bringing a high energy to the stage, Wish Awake has something special for every audience. While continuing to write new material and searching for the muse, Wish Awake is looking forward to bringing their magic to the stage again.
