Artist Trees of Elfkins Exhibition - Prospectus

The Arts Center invites artists, businesses, nonprofits, and student artists of all backgrounds to enter the Artist Tree Extravaganza of Elfkins! This exhibition is a celebration of the creative minds of our beautiful mountain town, as well as a celebration of the holiday season. Participants are encouraged to interpret the Artist Tree theme as they see fit. “Trees” can be framed, wired, ready to display on the walls, a 3D piece that will display on a podium, or an actual tree to display on the floor (size details listed below). The idea is to fill the Great Hall with Artist Trees to showcase Elfkins’ creative ingenuity! 

What to Expect

Artwork featured in a professionally installed exhibition.

Approximately 7 weeks public display time- Visibility among community members, patrons, tourists and supporters

Display time includes one of our busiest weekends - Holiday Artist Market

Opportunities for artwork sales, building rapport in Elkins

Entry Information

Entry Fee: Artist Members: $15 for up to 3 entries. 

Nonmembers $25, Businesses $40, Nonprofit Organizations: $25 for up to 2 entries.

Eligibility: Artists age 18 +, businesses & nonprofits 

Artwork Requirements: Original handcrafted work only, All media welcome, No AI-generated artwork

Note: no glass bulbs are permitted- our liability insurance does not care how beautiful they are :(

Important 2026 Dates

June 1st, 2026 - application opens, call goes live

September 4th — Application/Registration deadline

November 30th - In-person art drop-off from 9:30-4:30pm or by appointment, Payment due at drop-off.

December 3rd — Opening Reception from 5-7PM.

December 3rd – January 22nd— Exhibition on display (7 weeks, not including Holiday Break)

January 25th, 2027 — Artwork pickup, 10 am to 4 pm or by appointment
