2 Day Basket Workshop with the option to do only one day
How to both a square and round traditional Appalachian basket

March 4 or March 11, both days are 9 am to 4 pm, on Saturdays
Adults Only
Cost: $50 one day, $80 for both days
Supplies Needed: Bring scissors or small pruners, small towel, and bring a lunch! Notebook is helpful for notes, but not required.

Learn the basic skills of basket construction in this workshops, and leave with skills that allow you to create many more! Working with reed will give you the fundamental skills that you can then use to gather and work with other materials such as grasses, paper, cattail leaves, oak or hickory strips, or more reed. We will make a typical Appalachian market or garden basket and an all purpose round basket. If time permits, others styles may be made.
