In this workshop you will make a typical Appalachian market or garden basket. Learn the basic skills of basket construction that will enable you to construct many more. Working with reed will give you the fundamental skills that you can then use to gather and work with other materials such as grasses, paper, cattail leaves, oak or hickory strips, or reed.
