Organic Movement of the Body and Color: A Solo exhibition of the recent work of Elkins artist Vince Trimboli
A solo exhibition of the recent work of Elkins artist Vince Trimboli will be on display in the Maxwell Gallery of the Randolph County Community Arts Center beginning Friday, December 2. The opening reception for Trimboli‘s exhibit, Organic Movement of the Body and Color, will be Friday, December 2 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The exhibit will run through March 2, 2012.
Organic Movement of the Body and Color reflects my use of mixed medium to show the movement of multiple subjects within time and space,” observes Trimboli. “Using a technique striving for balance between the digital world and traditional visual art, I focus on how paint and ink, not unlike the body, create their own movement and breath.”
Trimboli is an Elkins native who takes inspiration from the organic movement of his subjects, as well as color. His work strives to show movement through time using specific brush and pencil strokes, and he is always interested in visually changing the way the viewer thinks about the traditional use of color and movement.
Trimboli graduated from Elkins High School and holds a BA in Theatre Arts from West Virginia Wesleyan, and studied painting and drawing during his studies there. He is currently enrolled in Wesleyan’s MFA in Creative Writing program. "I continue to attempt new mediums every day, as I feel limiting my artistic journey is comparable to limiting my own breath," notes Trimboli.
The Maxwell Gallery at RCCAC, named to honor one of the founding board members of the RCCAC, Judge Robert E. Maxwell, serves as a solo exhibition space for RCCAC artist members. Trimboli’s solo exhibition will be open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through March 2. Weekend hours will be announced.
