Highland Adventures! - June
11th - 15th

Kindergarten – Fifth Grades $125
Teachers: Kadra Kramer, Bill McWhorter, and Jess Johnson - Draw, paint, print and dance through the Highlands. Create arts and crafts based on the designs of the Scottish and Irish tribes of the British Isles. Students will experience collographs monoprints, and other printmaking techniques with Kadra Kramer.; study the landscape of the Potomac Highlands with Bill McWhorter and learn the steps of highland dancing with Jessica Johnson.

Kindergarten – Fifth Grades $180
Teachers: Virginia Hicks and Heidi Thompson - Children will explore popular children's literature through art, puppetry, creative writing and storytelling. Virginia Hicks will lead the morning sessions of mixed-media collage and simple puppet making. Heidi Thompson will lead the afternoon sessions of creative writing and storytelling as well as bookbinding. Children will assist in the making of tasty and nutritious snack.
Through the Ages with Primitive Art -

Kindergarten – Fifth Grades $180
Teachers: Heidi Thompson and Virginia Hicks - team up again for Primitive Arts Week. Children in the Primitive Arts Week Camp will take part in a fun, educational art experience designed to highlight the world’s diversity in primitive art from Mexico, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America. Activities are to include pottery, drawing, storytelling, and primitive art making each day. Children will also assist in the making of tasty and nutritious cultural snacks.

Kindergarten – Fifth Grades $125
Teacher: Heidi Thompson - Spend the afternoon creating art like Picasso, Pollock, Warhol and more! Each day there will be different Artists and Art Movements to learn about and fascinating projects that use clay, paint, collage, and various drawing materials like charcoal and oil pastel. Stories about the artists and daily nutritious snacks make this week a treat for any young artist.
Pantalone's Box - August
13th - 17th

Kindergarten – Fifth Grades $125
Teacher: Diana Vera - Unlike Pandora's Box, Pantalone's Box is a metaphor encompassing the curiosity and interpretation of a young child's delightful world of the hilarious. Pantalone's Box will introduce students to the art of clowning and mime -incorporating basic acting skills and comic timing; improvisation; movement; song; and script writing. A unique element will be the use of Spanish words and phrases within a script or routine. The 4 hour-a-day, week long camp will go by in a heart beat. So be prepared to explore the world of laughter and showcase your work at the end of the week in full costume and make-up!!!
